8- Gran via

Projected at the end of the 19th century and begun in 1910, it modernizes the city and unites the center with the new neighborhoods that emerged with the expansions (Argüelles, Salamanca, Chamberí). Throughout its construction, it was hosting the most modern architectural projects in the capital, becoming a true showcase of styles. Almost a kilometer and a half long, it has become one of the most representative arteries of Madrid, not only from an urban point of view, but also because of the social, economic and cultural role it has played in the life of the city, highlighting in recent years the premiere of musicals, international or national, making it the "Broadway" of Madrid.

The Círculo de Bellas Artes (CBA) is a private, non-profit cultural entity based in Madrid's Calle Alcalá. Founded in 1880, since 1921 it has been declared a “Center for the Protection of Fine Arts and Public Utility”. It is a multidisciplinary center, since it develops activities that range from the plastic arts to literature through science, music, philosophy, cinema or the performing arts. Since its creation, it has carried out important international work in the field of cultural creation, dissemination and management, being one of the most important private cultural centers in Europe. It is a founding member of the European Alliance of Academies since October 2020.
