This royal monastery was founded in the 16th century by Princess Juana of Austria, daughter of Emperor Charles I, whose tomb is found in one of its chapels. It houses an important collection of works of art, donated by the noble families whose daughters entered it. Among the best, the frescoes of the staircase and the Chapel of the Miracle, the tapestries woven in the workshops of Brussels, numerous works by masters of painting, etc.
