At the gates of the Palace, the Solemn Relay of the Royal Guard, like the one that was done in the times of Alfonso XII and Alfonso XIII. It takes place the first Wednesday of the month at 12:00 noon, except July, August and September, official acts or bad weather conditions, enlivened with military music. In addition, every Wednesday, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Changing of the Guard is held at the Puerta del Príncipe of the Royal Palace, except days of Solemn Changing, official acts or bad weather conditions, every 30 minutes, Guard posts (2 on foot and 2 on horseback) are set up in gala uniforms, forming up in front of the Prince's Gate to the rhythm of drum and fife.
