Galindo River Icono google maps

The Galindo or Gariondo river (next to the wheat field in Basque) is a river that runs along the border between the municipalities of Baracaldo and Sestao.

It consists of two branches: the Castaños River (from Mount Eretza in the Sasiburu Mountains) and the Ballonti Stream (from Mount Serantes), eventually flowing into the Bilbao estuary. The total length of the Castaños-Galindo basin is 15 km, with only the last 1.65 kilometers being from the Galindo River.
