Town Hall Square Icono google maps

In the center of the city is the town hall building, which has undergone several reforms throughout its history. The construction of the year 1654 responded to the typology presented by the Spanish municipalities, with arcades of several arches on the lower floor and a continuous balcony on the upper one.

The current building is basically the one projected by Antonio de Vega in 1755. Vega proposed a three-story building framed by two towers topped with separate eaves of Baroque imprint. At the end of the 19th century, the architect from Castile-Eladio Laredo modified the central body, finishing it off with a graceful crenellated tower, but kept the portico with semicircular arches.

The council, in an eclectic and modernist artistic style, is a building of Archaeological and Artistic Historical Interest.

In the first photo we see a more general view of the square. In the second photo we see the town hall.
